Safer Schools

Hudson Valley Safer Schools is about creating safer spaces for students to thrive.

What is Hudson Valley Safer Schools?

The purpose of the Safer Schools program is to create safer spaces for Hudson Valley students to grow and learn. Schools play a critical role, given their access to youth, in addressing student safety and wellness, including the prevention of unsafe behaviors. Healthy skills and relationships remain one of the most pressing public health issues, as adolescents are at an increased risk. Schools are an ideal point of intervention as they have enormous potential to impact the wider community.
